Paraclesis to St. Paraskevi and St. Panteleimon 9 am

It is the primary function, work and ministry of the Church to pray.  The Church prays endlessly for the living and the dead.  The Shrine Church of St. Paraskevi, because of the presence of the Holy Relics of both St. Paraskevi and St. Panteleimon, understands even more clearly the mandate and responsibility to pray for all people, their needs and for their health and salvation.

Please refer to the biographies of both saints for additional information regarding their holiness of life and great power of intercessory prayer.  

ST PARASKEVI
It must be noted that St. Paraskevi is an intercessor for all illnesses and needs, however, miracles for sight, healing and spiritual insight are very numerous.  St. Paraskevi is considered the patron saint of seeing, sight and the eyes.  

ST PANTELEIMON
St. Panteleimon was a physician who became a saint.  He is well know throughout the world for the healing of all types of physical and spiritual illnesses.

  • PRAYERS FOR THE LIVING 
    The living will be prayed for every Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the Sacred Service of the Paraclesis (Supplication) to St. Paraskevi at which the relics of both Saint Paraskevi and Saint Panteleimon are offered to the faithful for veneration.  Special prayers for the living will also be offered on Sunday morning at the Service of the Preparation of the Holy Gifts of the Eucharist at the Sunday Oblation.

  • PRAYERS FOR THE DECEASED 
    Loved ones who have fallen asleep in the Lord will be prayed for at the Sunday morning Service of the Preparation of the Holy Gifts of the Eucharist at the Sunday Oblation.

Ways in which you can pray for your loved ones:

Holy Water from Grotto Shrine of  St. Paraskevi
(Free will donation)

Holy Oil taken from the Kandeli  over the relics of St. Panteleimon
(Free will donation)

7 day candle to be lit and placed At the Shrine Church
($7.00 donation)

The golden shape of eyes are placed at the shrines of St. Paraskevi or St. Panteleimon This gesture is considered a Tama, or a sign of faith and a request for A miracle from the Saints  
($10.00 donation)
