St. Paraskevi was one of the first communities in Huntington to participate in the Huntington Interfaith Homeless Initiative (HIHI). The community serves as a host site on Thursday nights during the winter months. The homeless sleep in our gym and are served a hot dinner and breakfast, as well as being given a bagged lunch when they leave. Individuals and/or organizations may choose to serve meals and volunteer during various shifts throughout the night. We host about 25 homeless each Thursday evening.
